John Stuart (also referred to as J. K. Stuart) is an ex-English Master and author currently based near Byron Bay in the Rainbow Region of Northern New South Wales, Australia.
In the late 1990s, after experiencing several personal upheavals, he began a creative process that was “initially confessional and cleansing, then socially oriented and satirical”—evolving into an exploration of cultural diversity and shared humanity. His poetry often originates from an idea or image and unfolds with clarity—a process he describes as life energies flowing through.
His work has earned recognition in Australia and overseas. In the 1980s, he wrote a series for secondary school students titled World of Language.
